Directly after the first airplane slammed into the World Trade Center there were valiant men and women First Responders on the scene doing what heroes do in such a monumental tragedy, saving lives. Right alongside those heroic unforgettable responders were 13 Search Dog Foundation Teams.

FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency

The dog teams were dispatched by FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency to help search for survivors, and what these canines and their human counterparts did was save many lives. These were the survivors that may or may not been found and saved if not for the excellent olfactory senses and the bravery possessed by these dogs.

Bob Malhotra Commemorates Dog Corps

After the World Trade Center attacks, there was a brief lull in the devastation. For a tiny second, the nation collectively held their breath and prayed this was just a bad dream. When we opened our eyes, once again the scene was that from our darkest and most terrifying nightmares.

Search Dog Foundation Teams

Our people, our citizens, our families were being taken away from us and all too soon, all too fast. The quick action of the Search Dog Foundation Teams as well as their amazing, G-d given sensory abilities started right away finding and saving the survivors among all that ruble and smoke and fire.

16 Gun Salute and Moment of Silence

We wanted to salute every single team member of those valiant, first responder Dog Corps and we thought it would be fitting to have yet another moment of silence for those men, women, and canines that went in but did not come back out. Malhotra & Associates Nationwide Insurance salutes all of you, every single one of you fallen and still upright heroes.

Thank You

Bob Malhotra

  1. Thanks Bob for recalling those men, women, and dogs, that in some sad cases, gave their lives to searching for and saving so many of the WTC survivors.

    Sincerely,
